RWANDA SAFARI AND GORILLA TOUR - 7 DAYS
Day 1: Arrive in Kigali-Rwanda.
After arrival, you will transfer to the hotel. Check in and have lunch depending on the time you will have arrived. In the afternoon you will have a city tour and visit the city centre, Nyamirambo, curio markets and the Kimironko fruits market where you have a chance to meet the locals and choose your fruit basket. Overnight and dinner at Novotel Hotel FB.
Day 2: Kigali- Nyanza-Butare-Gikongoro (Murambi)-Nyungwe
Wake up for an early morning breakfast, followed by a drive to Nyungwe forest. En route you will visit Nyanza King’s Palace which is the ancient Rwanda Kingdom before the arrival of the Europeans, Its compound has the modern palace constructed by King Mutara in 1934 and next to it is the reconstructed King’s hut. It is tastefully decorated with the traditional mats and utensils.
You will also visit the National Museum of Butare and the genocide memorial of Murambi. The Museum is said to be the best ethnographical Museum in East Africa. It is the home of the national ballet-Intore dancers. You will have lunch at Butare and then proceed to Murambi genocide memorial. Dinner and overnight at Gisakura Guest House FB
Day 3: Chimpanzee tracking and travel to Kibuye
After breakfast in the morning, you will enter Nyungwe forest and track the chimpanzee. Thereafter return to the Guest House for lunch and then drive to Kibuye. Dinner and Overnight Bethanie Guesthouse FB
Day 4: Kibuye-Gisenyi-Ruhengeri -Kinigi
Following breakfast, you will drive to Gisenyi and finally get to Kinigi. The drive Kibuye-Gisenyi is through the most beautiful providing spectacular views of the tea growing plantations of Gisovu and Kayove. You will have stops for photographs. Then you have a four hours drive to Gisenyi for lunch and a brief city tour. There after drive for two hours to Ruhengeri and finally Kinigi the base of gorilla tracking. Overnight and dinner at Gorilla Nest Hotel FB.

Day 5: Gorilla Tracking.
An early morning breakfast will be followed by a drive to Kinigi park headquarters for guide allocation and briefing. Then drive to the trailheads where hiking and trekking up the hills to the bamboo zone begins. Hiking, trekking and tracking gorillas may take you 2-3 hours. You will have a chance to see and stay with the Gorillas for one hour then move to your hotel for lunch. You will have the afternoon for leisure or visit lakes Burela and Ruhondo. Day 6: Gorilla Ruhengeri-Kigali
After breakfast, you will trek up the mountain for another memorable experience with the gorillas. Then return to the hotel for lunch. In the afternoon drive to Kigali. Overnight at Mille Collines Hotel BB
Day 7: Flight back home.
After breakfast, have a city tour. In the afternoon transfer to the airport for your home flight.
